Private Beta Released

We are pleased to announce that the World Flight Planner application has now been released in a limited private beta. World Flight Planner is a web-based flight planning system for pilots and dispatchers built from the ground up and designed to take advantage of the best the Internet has to offer. The application can be accessed from any desktop computer with an Internet connection or from any Internet-enabled mobile device. The application is easy to use and offers users a feature-rich pre-flight planning experience.

The World Flight Planner application currently supports flight planning for over 50 different types of fixed and rotary wing aircraft and more aircraft are added each week. Our system currently supports flight plans to be created for flights in Canada and the United States, and we expect to add Australia in the coming month.

Some of the features offered by the World Flight Planner application include:

  • supports any Windows, Mac or Linux computer or any Internet-enabled mobile device
  • supports all popular web browsers (Firefox, IE, Safari, Chrome, Opera)
  • support for multiple languages (English now, French and Spanish in the works and others to come)
  • view airspace information
  • create multiple routes for each flight plan
  • profile view of terrain along route
  • easily access NOTAM, weather and other information for the route
  • no contracts or sign up fees
  • no firewall or network configuration changes required in order to use

We are slowly adding additional users to the private beta but continue to look for users from a variety of backgrounds to help test the application during the beta phase.
