Douglas Robertson
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

Douglas has been designing and building applications since the Web's inception. And with a healthy love of aviation, World Flight Planner brought both worlds together. Prior to WFP, he co-founded Bitonic Solutions Inc, a successful software development company. Douglas, together with his business partner at Bitonic Solutions, was awarded the 2001 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Business Development Bank of Canada. Douglas has held his private pilot licence since 1992 and has his night and instrument ratings. He currently flies around in a shared Piper Cherokee Six.

Blake Crosby
Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

Blake is the technical mastermind behind the servers and systems that World Flight Planner runs on, including the complex database system for the airspace and mapping within the site. Before co-founding World Flight Planner Blake maintained the server farm running one of Canada's busiest websites for a major television network. Blake did his pilot training at Seneca College in Toronto and currently holds a private pilot licence with night and multi-engine ratings and is working towards his commercial licence in between server upgrades.


Advisors

Jess Bloemhof

Jess brings over 10,000 hours of flying experience to his role as an advisor to the World Flight Planner team. As a professional pilot, Jess flies with one of Canada's largest airlines. He learned to fly in 1993 and, at 32 years of age, achieved his childhood goal to became Captain with a major airline. He has also flown for various charter and corporate charter companies operating throughout North America. Jess has experience on various singles and light twins, holds an ATPL and has type ratings on the SW3/4/5, LJ35 and the B737NG.
